A community project of the Muskegon Northside Lions Club

 

For many years now, our club has taken underprivileged children from our area shopping the week or so before Christmas to purchase gifts for family members and themselves. The kids are picked up at their homes by Northside Lions members, taken to a local variety store and escorted as they shop. They have a dollar limit that they can spend. After they have shopped, they meet at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church on Whitehall Road where they are assisted in wrapping the gifts they purchased. Then they are treated to pizza and soft drinks, time with Santa and Mrs. Claus and then returned to their homes. This is a most rewarding community service project for the members and children in from our community.

 

This year the event took place on December 10, 2022.
