Low vision aids are provided by The Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (1-800-466-1187) We can provide contact information for Leader Dogs for the Blind and Paws With A Cause (service dogs) plus general information of what other services the Lions provide. The service also provides information on area Lions Clubs fund raisers, meeting times and places and just about any information need.
Each year 500 to 700 calls are received from persons in need of assistance or information from Lions Clubs. These calls are forwarded to the Health Project, Lions clubs in the county as well as other districts around the State and the Country. The system works.
