Muskegon Northside Lions
Muskegon County Lions "Helpline"
This service provides a "one number" contact for the eight Lions clubs in Muskegon County. They include Fruitport, Muskegon Host, Muskegon Northside, Ravenna, and Whitehall-Montague. Calls are also taken for clubs in Newaygo, Oceana, and Ottawa counties as well as other parts of the State of Michigan and the U.S.

Operated by the Muskegon Northside Lions Club since 1989, the service takes referrals for all sorts of things including requests for eyeglasses, hearing aids, and eye surgeries for the Muskegon County Health Project (231-672-3201). Low vision aids are provided by The Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (1-800-466-1187). We can provide contact information for Leader Dogs for the Blind and Paws With A Cause (service dogs), plus general information about what other services the Lions provide. The service also provides information on area Lions Club fundraisers, meeting times and places, and just about any information needed.
Each year, 500 to 700 calls are received from persons in need of assistance or information from Lions Clubs. These calls are forwarded to the Health Project, Lions clubs in the county, and other districts around the State and Country. The system works.
